"Each hand-made flute is created from a single piece of wood, using only hand tools and fire. Like us, each is a  one-of-a-kind...unique.  In that way, flutes are a special vehicle for celebrating the diversity of common humanity.
"

"Music has the great potential for bridging gaps between cultures and peoples. Because of this, music can be a way for people to see beyond what we look like and what it is that we do in terms of living on Earth."

Hawk is a member of a northeastern Algonquian tribe
called the Nipmuc, a people from what is now known as Massachusetts. He makes Eastern-style flutes, composes and plays music, and is a storyteller and humorist.  In his travels within and beyond the United States, he most especially loves spending time talking with people who come to hear him play and speak in schools, museums, workshops, and the many different types of public and private events where he plays his flutes.

Hawk lives with his family, friends, and community in the forests near the coast of Maine.

Hawk invites you to contact him if you might like him to play at an event, speak with your students, do a presentation at your gathering, custom order or buy a flute.

Please contact him to share your music and stories, too!
